Juvederm Atlanta
Looking into Juvederm Atlanta? Juvederm is the #1 selling dermal filler collection in the world — and for good reason. It uses a smooth hyaluronic acid gel that integrates naturally with your tissue, giving you soft, natural-looking results without the “overfilled” look.
At Taylor Medical Group, Dr. Taylor has been injecting Juvederm for years and knows exactly how much to use and where to place it for the most natural enhancement. We serve patients from Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Buckhead, Brookhaven, and across metro Atlanta.

What Is Juvederm?
Juvederm is a collection of injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers made by Allergan (the same company that makes Botox). Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body already produces naturally — it’s what keeps your skin hydrated, plump, and elastic. As you age, your HA levels drop, and your face loses volume. Juvederm puts it back.
What sets Juvederm apart from other fillers is its proprietary VYCROSS and Hylacross technology. These manufacturing processes create an ultra-smooth gel that spreads evenly in the tissue. The result is a softer, more natural feel compared to older filler formulations that could look lumpy or stiff.
Juvederm is also reversible. Because it’s made of hyaluronic acid, it can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you’re unhappy with the result or if any complication occurs. That built-in safety net is one reason Juvederm Atlanta patients choose it over non-reversible options.
The Complete Filler Collection
Juvederm isn’t one product — it’s a family of fillers, each designed for a specific area and purpose:
Juvederm Voluma XC — The thickest Juvederm product. Designed for deep injection in the cheeks and mid-face to restore volume and lift sagging skin. Provides structural support. Lasts up to 2 years — the longest-lasting product in the collection.
Juvederm Vollure XC — A mid-weight filler for moderate lines and folds, especially the nasolabial folds (lines from nose to mouth) and marionette lines (lines from mouth to chin). Smooth, flexible gel that moves naturally with your face. Lasts up to 18 months.
Juvederm Volbella XC — The thinnest, most delicate Juvederm product. Made specifically for lips and the fine lines around the mouth (perioral lines, sometimes called “smoker’s lines”). Adds subtle fullness without the overdone look. Lasts up to 12 months.
Juvederm Ultra XC / Ultra Plus XC — The original Juvederm products. Ultra is great for lips (fuller results than Volbella). Ultra Plus is thicker, used for deeper lines and moderate volume. Both last 6-12 months.

What to Expect During Juvederm Treatment
Consultation — Dr. Taylor examines your face, discusses your goals, and recommends which Juvederm product and how many syringes you’ll need. No pressure, no upselling.
Numbing — A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. Juvederm also contains lidocaine built into the gel, so discomfort is minimal once injections start.
Injection — Dr. Taylor injects the filler using a fine needle or cannula, depending on the area. The entire treatment takes 15-30 minutes. You see results immediately.
Aftercare — Some swelling and mild bruising is normal for 2-5 days, especially with lip injections. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Final results settle in about 2 weeks.
Juvederm vs. Restylane
Both are excellent hyaluronic acid fillers. The main differences:
Juvederm
Smoother gel consistency. Tends to spread more evenly in tissue. Often preferred for lips and areas where you want softness.
Restylane
Slightly firmer texture. Holds its shape better for structured areas. Often preferred for under-eyes and precise contouring.
The truth is, both work beautifully. Dr. Taylor often uses products from both lines in the same treatment — Juvederm in the lips and Restylane under the eyes, for example. It’s one reason our Juvederm Atlanta consultations always start with your goals — not a sales pitch for one brand over another.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Juvederm last?
It depends on the product and area. Voluma lasts up to 2 years in the cheeks. Vollure lasts up to 18 months. Volbella and Ultra last 6-12 months in the lips. Areas with more movement (like lips) metabolize filler faster.
How much does Juvederm cost?
Cost depends on how many syringes you need and which product is used. Call us at 678-443-4000 for current pricing. Most lip treatments use 1 syringe. Cheeks typically require 1-2 syringes per side.
Does Juvederm hurt?
Most patients describe it as mild pressure or a pinch. We apply topical numbing before treatment, and Juvederm contains lidocaine in the gel itself. Lips are the most sensitive area, but even lip injections are very tolerable.
Can Juvederm be dissolved if I don’t like the results?
Yes. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers quickly. If you’re unhappy with the result — or in the rare case of a complication — the filler can be reversed. This is one of the biggest advantages of HA fillers over non-HA options like Radiesse.
Is there downtime?
Very little. You can return to normal activities immediately. Mild swelling and bruising may last 2-5 days. Most patients go back to work the same day or the next morning.
