Learn More About Dermal Fillers
Liquid Nose Job, Facelift, and Butt Lift
Dermal fillers can give you a relaxed and youthful appearance, lift and smooth out folds and wrinkles without surgery. They can restore volume that is lost with aging. As a result of age, sun damage, worry, gravity, and other environmental factors, our face and body skin and muscles begin to sag and lose their contour. Normal aging of the skin creates a reduction in the collagen and elastic framework of the skin, which can be smoothed out with dermal fillers. Fillers are used for non-surgical rhinoplasty, jaw contouring, liquid nose jobs, and butt lifts. *
There are many fillers on the market these days to meet your needs. Our physicians use non-animal products consisting of hyaluronic acid, a natural chemical constituent of the skin, which is far less likely to produce allergic reactions. Juvederm, Voluma, and Restylane are some of the most popular dermal fillers. Fillers range in thickness and their use. Thicker fillers can be used to enhance volume in the face, neck, hand, elbow, and buttock. Thinner fillers can be used for fine lines and to improve the elasticity and appearance of the skin. The life span of fillers varies from six months up to two years.*

Non-surgical Rhinoplasty AKA Liquid Nose Job
Non-surgical rhinoplasty also known as the liquid nose job can reshape and improve the appearance of your nose without surgery. It is a minimally-invasive treatment for men and women who desire a non-invasive way to improve the shape of their nose. Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses dermal fillers to give more definition to the nose. A liquid nose job is a great non-invasive alternative to surgical rhinoplasty.
Dermal fillers can smooth out bumps in the nose and make it look less crooked. Fillers like Juvederm when injected beneath the nose skin can improve the height and contour of the nose bridge. A liquid nose job can help the nose look narrower and less full.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty may be helpful for Asian and African-American patients with flat and wide noses that lack definition. A liquid nose job can help women and men and women of all ethnic background that want to improve who the appearance of their nose.

How is the procedure done?
The chosen filler material is injected into the lines and defects to plump them out and then remains in the skin where it binds water to produce a lift and firmness to the treated areas.* The filler material is introduced into the skin by a simple injection technique, usually without the need for local anesthetic.
Which areas can be treated by dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers can be used for filling out lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, nose, and forehead. In addition, your mouth can be a fuller and more sensuous form by enhancing the lip in order to produce a better definition and reduction in lipstick bleed. The lips can also be given a greater volume and fuller appearance by this simple technique. Facial contouring, for example, cheek and chin dimples can be achieved using dermal fillers to smooth out the hollows and alter the facial contour. Fillers can also be used to lift and enhance the buttock area. The exact type of filler chosen will depend on the site of treatment and the degree of correction required.*

How long does the treatment take?
Treatments usually take around thirty minutes and for lip enhancement, a local anesthetic injection is usually given to remove any discomfort associated with treatment at this site. Topical anesthetic creams may also be used.
How long will each treatment last?
Typically, the results of the treatment can last six to nine months* but this varies from one individual to another. Semi-permanent fillers can last up to two years. The fillers gradually are broken down and absorbed by the body so the lines, wrinkles, and volume will ultimately return to their previous appearance unless top-up treatments are given.
Are dermal fillers safe?
The modern synthetically produced dermal fillers are extremely safe with a low incidence of an allergic reaction. There is, however, a very small possibility of an allergic reaction, which will be discussed with you at your consultation. There is usually some degree of redness and swelling after the treatment, which usually resolves within 1-2 days. In the case of lip augmentation, there may be some swelling and bruising for several days.
