About Cellulite

Cellulite refers to the dimpled appearance of the skin on the arms, hips, thighs, and buttocks. It looks like dimpled or bumpy skin and may have a cottage cheese or orange peel texture.  Cellulite is more common in adolescent and adult women than men because of differences in skin, fat, muscle and connective tissue structure. The lumpiness of cellulite is caused by fat deposits that push through the skin and distort the connective tissues beneath the skin, leading to the characteristic changes in the appearance of the skin.  Cellulite can be genetic and can occur regardless of your size or weight.

Causes of Cellulite

Heredity, skin thickness, hormones, gender, pregnancy, aging, inactive lifestyle, weight gain, family history, the amount and distribution of body fat, and age can all influence the extent to which cellulite is present or visible. Cellulite is thought to occur due to shrinkage or shortening of the fibrous tissue cords that anchor the skin.  Cellulite occurs in people of all races living all around the globe.

Mesotherapy Treatment

Before and After Cellulite at Taylor Medical Group

Before and after cellulite treatments

*Individual results may vary

Mesotherapy, pioneered in the 1950s by French physician Dr. Michel Pistor, is the painless delivery of vitamins, minerals, medications, and amino acids placed topically and delivered through the skin painlessly. Mesotherapy has a variety of applications including weight loss, cellulite reduction, face, and neck rejuvenation, and hair regrowth.      It involves the injection of vitamins, homeopathic agents, natural extracts, and pharmaceuticals into the skin. The injections are not painful because a topical anesthetic is administered 30 minutes prior to the treatment. Unlike other medical treatments, mesotherapy is administered directly to the desired area. This limits side-effects and reduces the possibility of drug interactions.

Non-invasive Strawberry  Liposuction

Strawberry  Lipo, which uses infrared light, is a fat reduction treatment that melts fat and smooths fat while and decreasing inches, improving the appearance of cellulite and tightening the skin. This treatment can be used on any part of the body where fat reduction is desired.  It is non-invasive and there is no downtime, pain, incisions or injections and results can be seen with each treatment.*

IV Nutritional Therapy

IV nutritional therapy with glutathione and vitamin C can help to detoxify the body and eliminate toxins from body fat and thereby improving the appearance of cellulite.*

Weight loss

If you’re overweight or obese, weight loss — through healthy eating and regular exercise — might improve the appearance of the dimpled skin. Weight loss and exercise won’t make it go away completely but it does help.*
