A P shot is a type of injection used to help men with erectile dysfunction (ED). The injection helps to increase blood flow to the penis, which can help men to get and maintain an erection.

The p shot is made by drawing blood from the patient and then spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood components. The platelets are then injected back into the patient’s body. PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma and is thought to promote healing and tissue regeneration.

A P shot should only be administered by a doctor, RN, or physician’s assistant.  Topical lidocaine is applied for at least 15 minutes, followed by a lidocaine injection. The treatment is painless and effective when done correctly.  There is no downtime and patients can immediately go back to their normal activities.
